1. We publish original and translated short stories in English and Hindi. 

2. The word limit is 300-5000.

3. Short stories across all themes are welcome. 

4. We particularly want to encourage new and emerging voices with an artistic seriousness of purpose. Send us your work if it is well-crafted, mulled-over, and has a capacity to offer individual subjective uniqueness.

5. We are open to previously published stories (blogs and personal websites included) if they qualify point 4.

6. To submit, write to us at thebilingualwindow@gmail.com with subject line ‘Submission: English/Hindi’. All queries to be addressed to this email address only. 

7. We accept entries on a rolling basis, and publish at our own sweet pace - usually one story at a time.

8. All entries are to be sent as MS word documents. Make sure along with the word file, your e-mail has a brief note about the short story and the author/translator bios in third person.

9. The Editor works alone and there is often an avalanche of submissions. Reply timings may take from one to four weeks. Please be patient.

10. No fees. No payments. 

11. Copyright of works published on this website will remain with the authors. Authors/translators are required to take related approvals for any copyright material they may use in their work submitted to The Bilingual Window. This magazine will not be responsible in any way for copyright infringements.
